Welcome to Fertility Specialists Medical Group’s Egg Donor Program page. At FSMG, our in-house egg donation program has matched hundreds of anonymous egg donors with individuals and couples throughout San Diego County. Unlike agency programs, all of our egg donors are medically screened and evaluated prior to acceptance, and medically supervised throughout the egg donation process.
Who are FSMG Egg Donors?
To become an egg donor, you must:
- Be between the ages of 19 and 28
- Reside in San Diego County at least three months of the year
- Have a healthy BMI
- Overall good health
Over the last ten years, FSMG and our egg donors have helped hundreds of couples achieve their dreams.
How much are Egg Donors compensated?
Egg donors set their own compensations for each cycle. Donors may start earning $6,000 on their first cycle, and go up to as much as $15,000 for subsequent cycles.
2017 Zika Eligibility Update for Egg Donors
As of March 2016, the FDA has deemed any donors who have lived or traveled to a Zika Active Area ineligible for 6 months upon their return to the United States. We encourage donors who have lived in or traveled to a Zika Active Area to apply for the egg donation program once the 6 months have passed and they are eligible for donation. Please email Marianne with any questions – Mnovella@ivfspecialists.com.
Who are Intended Parents?
Intended Parents (or IP’s) are individuals or couples that are unable to become pregnant using their own eggs. These individuals/couples may choose to use an Anonymous Egg Donor (AED) or a Known Egg Donor (KED) such as a sister, cousin or friend.
Many patients choose to use an AED such as those in FSMG’s Egg Donor Program. The IP and the AED will not meet nor exchange personal information. However, the IP’s will see an anonymous profile and photos submitted by the AED.
