Kristi Maas, MD, ME, FACOG, joined Dr. Morales and Dr. Shelly at Fertility Specialists Medical Group (FSMG) in 2016. Dr. Maas is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Board Eligible Fellowship Trained in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Maas tailors her treatment plans for each of her patients; working with them to find the right options. She is empathetic and ensures her patients understand their diagnoses as well as the treatment options.
Dr. Maas received her Honors Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, her Masters of Engineering, and her Medical Doctorate from the University of Utah. She completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts – Maine Medical Center and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center – Harvard Medical School and Boston IVF in Boston, MA.
Research & Associations
Dr. Maas has presented and published research on neonatal outcomes after IVF. She is currently investigating outcomes for single women and women in same sex relationships seeking reproductive assistance. She assisted with a project investigating the CRISPR genome editing technology and her most recent basic science research focuses on the underlying pathology of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). She has published articles regarding the fertility preservation process and the importance of education women about their fertile window. Dr. Maas is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the Society for Reproductive Surgeons, and the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology.
