U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) introduced a new bill—The Family Act of 2011, also known as S. 965—to the U.S. Senate. This bill would establish a tax credit for families who need In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) as a fertility treatment. We are in complete agreement and feel this law is overdue. One in eight U.S. couples of childbearing age is diagnosed with infertility (that’s about 7.3 million people), according to RESOLVE, The National Infertility Association.
